Big Dutchman and Tric Tool investing over $1 million, creating 29 jobs

10/8/2019 // HOLLAND, MICH – Big Dutchman and Tric Tool announced growth projects in Holland Charter Township, representing over $1 million in private investment and creating at least 29 jobs over three years. Lakeshore Advantage, worked with the companies and connected them with local resources to support their expansions.

“With our dedication to innovation, Big Dutchman’s expansion allows us to continue to foster innovation and growth here,” said Ricardo Luna, Chief Financial Officer of Big Dutchman. “Thank you to Holland Charter Township and Lakeshore Advantage for assisting us with our expansion.”

Big Dutchman, a leading global provider of complete innovative systems for modern egg, poultry and pig production, is investing $473,861 over three years. Big Dutchman will make improvements to their existing facility on John F Donnelly Drive that will lead to the creation of 24 jobs.

“Here at Tric Tool, we realize that every day there is an opportunity to grow and that long-term involvement produces better results,” said Tom Jackson, President of Tric Tool. “We are excited to grow in this community knowing we are adding to the vibrant manufacturing sector of our Lakeshore region.”

Tric Tool, an established systems and processing manufacturer, is investing $694,546 over three years. The 6,000 square foot manufacturing and warehousing expansion for company operations will occur at their existing John F Donnelly Drive facility in Holland Charter Township and will lead to the creation of approximately five jobs.

“Both Tric Tool and Big Dutchman are great examples of our strong manufacturing core here in West Michigan, where one in three jobs is in manufacturing,” said Jennifer Owens, President of Lakeshore Advantage. “Congrats to these companies on their expansions, and thank you Holland Charter Township for being a partner in job creation and company growth.”

Holland Charter Township approved an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption over 12 years to support Big Dutchman and Tric Tool’s projects. 

“Holland Charter Township is proud to support these expansions,” said Terry Nienhuis, Holland Charter Township Supervisor. “Big Dutchman, Herman Miller and Tric Tool provide many jobs in this community so to be able to assist their growth here is a pleasure.”
